1. Who is Rainvalley

Rainvalley is the sole proprietorship of Rainvalley, established in the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 42143979 (VAT ID NL869912884B01). This privacy policy describes which personal data Rainvalley processes through the website rainvalley.nl and why.

This site deliberately collects as little personal data as possible: there are no forms, no accounts and no tracking. The only data processing takes place when you contact us yourself, and through technical logging at the hosting provider.

2. Contact by email

  1. When you send Rainvalley an email (for example to info@rainvalley.nl), Rainvalley processes the data you provide yourself in it — typically your name, email address and the content of your message.
  2. Legal basis:this processing is based on Rainvalley's legitimate interest in answering questions and maintaining contact with (potential) clients, or on the performance of an agreement if the contact leads to one.
  3. Retention period: email correspondence is not kept longer than necessary to handle your query, and in the case of a client relationship, for as long as reasonably necessary for the performance of the agreement and the statutory (tax) retention obligation of 7 years for administrative records.

3. Hosting and logging at Vercel

  1. This website is hosted at Vercel Inc. Vercel acts as a processor for Rainvalley in this respect and automatically processes technical data needed to deliver the website, such as IP address, time of visit, requested page and browser type (server logs).
  2. These logs are used solely for securing and technically operating the website (for example detecting outages and abuse), not for profiling or marketing purposes.
  3. Vercel may process data on servers outside the European Economic Area. Vercel applies appropriate safeguards for this transfer, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. More information can be found in Vercel's privacy policy.

4. Cookies and analytics

This website does not place cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking software. Should Rainvalley add analytics in the future (for example to measure anonymised visitor numbers), this privacy policy will be updated beforehand to state this explicitly.

5. Sharing with third parties

Rainvalley does not sell personal data and does not share it with third parties, except with processors necessary for the website to function (such as Vercel, see article 3) or where legally required.

6. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:

  1. request access to the personal data Rainvalley processes about you;
  2. have inaccurate data corrected (rectification);
  3. have your data erased;
  4. have the processing of your data restricted;
  5. object to the processing of your data;
  6. receive your data in a portable format (data portability).

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us via info@rainvalley.nl. Rainvalley responds within the statutory term of four weeks. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

7. Security

Rainvalley takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss or unlawful processing, including the use of encrypted connections (HTTPS) for this website.

8. Changes

Rainvalley may amend this privacy policy from time to time, for example when new functionality (such as analytics) is added. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
